Day 24 – What’s Your Favorite Movie and Why?

My favorite movie is The Lord of the Rings series. I love it because it makes me feel peaceful and happy when I watch it. I love Middle Earth, and I think Peter Jackson does a fantastic job bring Tolkien’s world and characters to life. I know all the words to The Fellowship of the Rings. The music and the scenery and the script. I love it all. I know he doesn’t follow the book, but with a book that long, how can you?

Day 22 – How Have You Changed Over The Past Few Years? Share Pictures

This is tough because I feel like I haven’t changed. Maybe I have physically. I know I’ve gained weight, but I also think that I’ve embraced my geeky side.

Day 21 – What is One of Your Favorite TV Shows, and Why?

SO MANY TO CHOOSE FROM!

Doctor Who is my favorite t.v. show ever. I’m not sure why because the first few episodes from the ninth regeneration were God awful and cheesey, and I don’t really enjoy Clara. I mean she’s not as whiny as Amy, which is fantastic (see what I did there ;P), but I just find her character so two dimensional.

Anyway, after the I saw the “Are You My Mummy?” episode, I fell in love, and haven’t looked back. It’s just magical and amazing.

David Tennant all the way! 😀

Day 20 – How Important Do You Think Education Is?

Education, in my eyes, is extremely important. Without knowledge we have nothing but chaos. However, I don’t think school (college mostly) is right for everyone. Some people are not meant to be stuck in classrooms all day, staring at screens for hours, and stressing out about school. I think you can learn any and everywhere. That’s what’s important.

Day 17 – List Your Highs and Lows of this Past Year

Highs

  • Got into UNC
  • Turned 21
  • Didn’t fail out of UNC
  • Am still alive
  • Having food and clean water
  • Being able to have the ability to go to school
  • Being physically healthy

Lows

  • Struggling this semester, more than I have struggled in a long time
  • Aunt is in and out of the ICU, in Charlotte, so I can’t go see her
  • I’ve been given more and more hours at work, to the point where I have no time to study because I’m just so tired.
  • Crying most nights because I just can’t stop worrying or do anything about it.
  • I’ve hurt myself a couple of times, which is awful because I hadn’t hurt myself in a long time.
  • Feeling like a failure because I don’t seem strong enough
  • Wondering if I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder or Depression

Day 15 – Write 15 Interesting Facts About Yourself

Um… Right… Well, I’m not incredibly interesting, so this should be boring.

  1. I can sing
  2. I taught myself to play the piano
  3. I can draw (sometimes)
  4. My body has a difficult time processing a lot of sugar
  5. My body also has really hard time processing meat, but I need protein, and I don’t get enough of it when I try to be a vegetarian.
  6. I’m allergic to sulfur
  7. I’m allergic to avocados, peaches, cashews, pecans, and Brazil nuts
  8. I play World of Warcraft
  9. I’ve already decided that my wedding will be influenced by The Lord of the Rings
  10. My inner voice is named Hermione Granger
  11. I took theatre for seven years
  12. Reading and writing are some of my favorite things to do, but I usually only do them if I don’t want people to talk to me.
  13. I’m quiet, unless I’m really good friends with you.
  14. I hate that classes require participation to be apart of the course grade. It’s not that I don’t care about letting my thoughts be heard, but I’m self-conscious about my thoughts, and I really don’t like sharing them.
  15. I hate vomit and vomiting. If a movie has a vomiting scene in it, I don’t watch it. I haven’t seen Bridesmaids or Pitch Perfect because there are vomiting scenes. Also, if I feel a little nauseated at all I take pepto and drink ginger ale, just in case.

Whelp, there’s me! Like I said, I’m not interesting, but that’s okay.

Day 14 – What is Your Earliest Memory?

I have one memory that is so vivid. When I was a child, my parents had my great-grandmother watch me during the day while they were at work, so they didn’t have to pay for Day Care. We lived out in California at the time, and my great-grandmother’s apartment complex had peach trees located right next to some train tracks. We used to go out to the train tracks after my nap after lunch, and we would pick peaches and the train would come by. We would walk back home in the California heat, and my great-grandmother picked me up and sat me on the kitchen counter. She would cut a peach in half, and we would eat it. Afterwards, we’d go outside onto her tiny patio and plant the seed in some dirt. The seeds never grew, but it was always fun. It’s one of my earliest and fondest memories I have, and it makes me sad because I’ve formed a terrible allergy to peaches, so I can’t eat them or touch them anymore.
